Meet Bowser. (pg 5)

Kamek looked had seen the yoshis approaching earlier from his chamber in the top of his castle and roared in anger. "Agghh..! Unbelivable! No matter what I did those annoying little fat dinosaur things are still coming this way! What could they possibly want?? Do they know about the other kid?" He couldn't quite figure it out. All he knew was that the yoshis seemed to care for the baby and he hadn't been able to steal it from them so far. What was most confusing was that they were headed straight for him now!
"Well, it dosen't matter anyways." he grumbled "Maybe I couldn't steal the little snot-nose before, but now they'll be here and I'll have the best chance I'll ever get. I just can't let it go wrong..." he considered what to do. In the other room he could hear incessant banging and screaming. It was very distracting. Suddenly there was an especialy loud crash noise and a little creature called a 'shy guy' landed beside Kamek, stood up, quickly checked himself for any damage, and ran away like the wind in pure terror. Kamek looked back at the room where the young king was kept and saw a shy guy shaped hole had been busted in the wall. Through it he could vaguely make out many shy guys running this way and that through the room, while the little devil chased them around.
He let out a sigh. He knew after the king was tired of the shy guys he would just have to find something else for it to torture. "It took forever to open the portal to Subcon, too" he thought. "What a shame. I have to resort to breaking into the dream world just to keep the little beast happy."
In any case, he knew that the yoshis would be at his castle gate at any moment so he decided he would personaly go and make another attempt at stealing the young future threat from them.

The battle was a short one. Kamek made several attempts to liberate the child from the caring protection of the yoshi, yet in the end the yoshi was able to evade him by sneaking directly into his castle.
Kamek was furious! He didn't even know his way through his castle! "Oh, whatever then." he thought "They'll probably just die in there and then I'll send my Toadies to find them and make sure of it." He returned to his chamber where he was pleased to find that the pshyco little king had fallen asleep, so he took in the precious time to do some important magikoopa-type work, involving concentration and silence...
But the yoshis were at the same time proving themselves to be far more capable than Kamek could have guessed! The brave spunky little heroes made their way through the castle and much to Kamek's surprise the green yoshi, the one we know best, eventualy bursted into the final chamber of the castle where he found himself yet again face to face with the twisted fiend. He began to shout at him "Where's the stork? You twisted fiend!" but of course, all Kamek heard was the barley threatening yoshi growl.
Yoshi could see that Kamek was pleading with him. He wanted the baby so deperatley it was almost pathetic. He almost felt sorry for him, yet he knew this character had nothing but malice and insanity behind his appearances. It's the sort of thing yoshis can just tell. He thought for sure he would have to tussle with the crazed magician yet another time but then the craziest thing happened.

"YOU WOKE ME UP!!" came a shout from the back of the room. Yoshi and Kamek both turned their heads. Yoshi looked only confused, but the look of dread on Kamek's face can barley be described. The lock on the door had been broken. Before them was the most hiddeous koopa Yoshi had ever seen. He was just about the same size as other koopas except he was a little shorter and fatter. He had spikes on his back and sharp front teeth. On his head were two beady little eyes crowned by scruffy orange eyebrows that matched his long orange pony tail. He had spiked collars on each of his thick wrists and both his ankles as well, and his voice was harsh and raspy. The worst part was, yoshi could tell that he was still a very little version of whatever he he was and that someday he would be much bigger. Kamek drew his wand as quickly as he could, yet the baby monster was too quick. He lunged forward and attaked Kamek, floored him and then kicked him out of his way.
This very akwardly left only the baby Bowser and Yoshi in the room. Yoshi might could have been able to sneak away at that time and in a way Bowser may have even saved the day, yet, that didn't happen then, and it has never happened since, and it can be assumed that that will simply never happen. Bowser will always ruin the day.
Bowser noticed Yoshi just after he attacked Kamek. He thought it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen. Then when he saw the baby Mario riding on his back he realized what Yoshi was! "Green donkey!" He exclaimed, and then he demanded a ride. Yoshi really, really hadn't expected such nonsense and was only interested in finding the stork. He tried to avoid the situation and most importantly keep the baby Mario safe from this ridiculous creature.
"Get off!!" Baby Bowser shouted at Mario. Yoshi tried to stay out of his way. "Get OFF!!" He continued...
It occured at that time to Yoshi that things were about to get ugly. He narrowed his eyes at the loathsome little brat and it in turn returned the look of malice and promptly attacked. Yoshi was able to avoid his initial charge and so the little beastie decided to try and shake the baby Mario off Yoshi's back by pounding the ground. Ground pounding, though, was a skill Yoshi was even better aquainted with and he was able to eventualy use the same attack to knock out the little koopa.
Just as Yoshi was sure he'd had a perfect opportunity to slip away from this madness and continue to search for the stork, Kamek reappeared having just regained his composure and began shouting about how the Koopa Kingdom would reign over even their sorry little island someday and nothing would ever stand in the way of his king... At the same time he thrusted his wand out towards the infant, who he was refering to, lying disoriented on the floor and began to make him grow bigger and bigger. Yoshi was stunned! Kamek had gone completley mad! He just didn't stop! Baby Bowser grew so big that he bursted through the roof and all the bricks and rocks of the castle were thrown into the air only to come flying back down all over as Yoshi skillfuly manuevered out of their paths.

The baby Mario had taken in the whole journey so far with the greatest excitment. All the things he'd seen along the way had raced through his mind, and he'd loved the whole adventure, but this was something new for him. This was something he truly didn't like. When he saw the giant monster that now loomed over his head he grasped onto Yoshi more than ever before because this was something he truly felt the danger of. It was something he wanted to go away. It was something he feared more than anything he had ever seen. But then he saw the look on Yoshi's face. It wasn't one of fear, but instead of determination. Yoshi knew what he was about to face wouldn't be easy to conquer but he was going to do his best, and in the end he would win. It was something even the little one could tell.

In the end, Yoshi did defeat the monsterous fiend and the spell on him wore off as he collapsed back to the castle ground. Kamek, realizing that this was simply out of his hands snatched up his defeated king and raced off, though shouting all the way that he would be back. Yoshi soon afterwards found the stork and was pleasantly surprised to find the little one had a twin brother who was there with him. The stork was very appreciative to Yoshi and all of his friends for returning to him the young one and scaring off Kamek and Bowser. He thanked them all sevral times, but then he had to be on his way. The rest of the journey to the twins' parents he told them he would be able to cover quickly and safely in the sky, now that Kamek had fled. They trusted him, and all said goodbye again and again as the stork flew away. Mario was pleased to see his brother again, but as they flew off in the storks bag he peered over behind them at the yoshis and caught the eye of the green one who had stuck with him through it all. No matter what - they would always be friends.

Soon Mario and Luigi arrived at their parents home, but it wasn't long before they were again faced with danger.

Yoshi's Island. (pg 4)

Baby Mario happily bounced from cloud to cloud, and then through the trees of Yoshi's Island being caught and supported easily by large leaves and then lightly plopping down on the back of a yoshi, who had ran around franticly for five to ten minutes trying to be in the right spot where the baby would fall. This yoshi was the green one simply called "Yoshi"
All of the yoshis were amazed at this new thing. It reminded them of their own baby yoshis the way it was so small and cute, and because of how stupid it was. So they called it a baby. They decided that even though it was clearly some kind of thing that was much uglier than yoshis, they would take care of it. Just as a dark blue yoshi was about to suggest that maybe they could eat it instead a white yoshi jumped down from the trees above.
"That's him!" it shouted.
"What's him?" asked Yoshi.
"That's the little red person I just saw fall from the sky! He was being carried by the stork!" he exclaimed. The yoshis were all surprised. That meant that this was one of the people from the other lands around Yoshi's Island.
"Is he dangerous?" asked a brown yoshi.
"No!" exclaimed Yoshi "How can he be?! We already decided he's a baby!"
"Oh, yeah, that's true... so what should we do with it? It's not ours, afterall."
Yoshi's lip quivered a little, but then he pulled himself together. "That's true. He's not." he said, more to convince himself than anything else. "So what do we think we should do?"
"Let's take it back to it's parents!" exclaimed a pink yoshi! The suggestion met with shouts of joy and agreement from all the yoshis, and then commenced dancing and subsequent frolicing.
"Wait a minute," interrupted the black yoshi "how can we take it back to it's parents? We don't know who they are."
The dancing and frolicing came to an end as all the yoshis again went into deep thought. "True..." started Yoshi, as he thought this all over "but the stork does!"
"Nor do we know where the stork is, now do we?" came the logical response from the black yoshi.
"I do." Everyone turned in awe at the white yoshi who had said this much to the surprise of them all. The white yoshi sent a big grin at the black yoshi, who everyone had turned their backs on to huddle around this new speaker offering hope. The black yoshi simply laughed quietly to himself and joined in the back of the huddle because in all truth he too was interested in helping the baby human.
"I saw what happed up there when the stork dropped the baby. It wasn't his fault! He was attacked!" The yoshis were sent into an uproar, but the white one calmed them down again "Now, now... It was a koopa that attacked him and after he did, his bad friends put the stork into a bag, and they flew away."
The yoshis were horrified at such bad things! "Why did they take him?! And where!?" they all wanted to know.
"I've been a few other places besides Yoshi's Island, and I'm not sure at all why they would want to steal the stork, but one thing I do know is that the way they went was towards the Koopa Kingdom..."
The yoshis all began to talk excitedly in whispers amongst eachother about such a scary place. No one was sure what to do.
Then suddenly the green yoshi called Yoshi exclaimed to them all "LOOK! He has the storks map!!" Sure enough, the baby Mario had in his hands a map that not only showed the way to the house where his parents would live - essential information to the stork - but also much more of the world that they would be exploring. The other yoshis were thrilled, and a buzz of excitment began. It was clear to them all that this was a good sign that they would have to do something with this little one.
"Well," Began Yoshi, "the way to the Koopa Kingdom is on this map! So then, we have to go to the Koopa Kingdom, rescue the stork, and let it finish it's job and take this red-hat baby home!"
All the yoshis were stirred by such a brave and selfless proposal and after shouts of agreement, dances of merriment, a good party with cake and ice cream, and a relaxing nights rest, many joined Yoshi on this quest.
The journey was a long and perilous one, and it was often dificult to protect the little Baby Mario that they always let ride on their backs, but eventualy the yoshis arrived at the door to the castle of Kamek in the Koopa Kingdom.

'Super Dragon' Yoshi. (pg 3)

A green reptile bursts out of the bushes with a great grin on his face! He is about the size of a very big dog, and struts about happily with a big round watermelon in his hands. He is clearly overjoyed about having the thing, and then just as suddenly as he had appeared another one of his kind - this one blue, instead of green - jumps out of the jungle straight over the green ones head and nabs the fruit right out of his hands!
The green creature turns and growls at the theiving blue as he disappears back into the jungle. Then he smiles big as he races off to find him.

Somewhere far overhead a stork is in great distress as he is encircled by a crazy character flying on a broom and it's twisted toadies who fly around menacingly cutting off his escape. He is especialy worried because he is carrying in a bundle two little one who were to be delivered to The Mushroom Kingdom, and he had made it only as far as Yoshi's Island so far and still had a ways to go. Now the babies, and even himself, were being faced by this most unexpected threat.
In the tussle the character flying on the broom reveals himself to be a kidnapper when he makes an attempt to grab the two youngsters. He grabs the green-hat first which he is surprised to find has his hand connected to the red-hat kid's foot, he then concludes that this is a pefectly safe, and even effective way to carry two human babies. He turns to swoop away which, little to the notice of the kidnapper, causes the green-hat baby to lose his grip, and the stork watches in horror as the little red-hat baby plunges towards the Island below. The stork begins to dive to save him but is instead swiftly bagged by the creepy toadie creatues.
As Baby Mario falls he looks up happily at his brother and smiles and waves. 'Finaly!' he thought 'I made it out of that constricting bundle!'

Meanwhile, in the jungle paradise below, about ten of the little dinosaur-like creatures called yoshis, after the island the inhabit, can be found sqabbling all over eachother as a single watermelon is repeatedly tossed in the air above them all, and one after another makes lunges for it.
Eventualy it is tossed far up into the air and all make a leap for it at once, but much to all their surprise, the same green one from before, who was sometimes teased because no one had ever named him, came jumping straight out of a tree overhead while his tongue darted out to grab the watermelon. It connects, and is curled, quick as a wink, back into his mouth. He lands on the ground with a big smile on his face as he chews a little and some sweet watermelon juice squirts out of his mouth, in a very childish way. All around the other yoshis land, and then they all shout out in joy for a good fair ending to their game. They each pull out fruits of their own, and all of them relax and eat there in the jungle clearing to celebrate.
Then the green yoshi, whom was generaly just called 'Yoshi' because he had never been given a name, or even chosen one, turned to all the other and declared "Okay! I won the game, so I want to pick a name for myself now!"
The other yoshis were shocked! One spun around and pretended to die from choking on his fruit. They had always just called this guy 'Yoshi', and it was starting to seem like they always would.
"Well, then..." started a red yoshi, "What is it? What is your name?"
All of them waited in suspense as the green yoshi looked around as if he was about to share a really great secret. They all moved in close as he stooped down low as if to indicate a huddle should form. He began in a hushed tone "I've decided that from now on everyone my real and true name is..." He paused for dramatics.
"Ahhh! WHAT!?" screamed a yellow yoshi.
"Super Dragon Yoshi!!!" the green yoshi exclaimed loudly as he lept up out of the huddle and into the air to reflect the pure gradiose of the wonderful name he had chosen. All of the other yoshis laughed heartily at such a clever name, and everyone liked it.
One pink yoshi had a question though. "Well, Super Dragon Yoshi, should we call you by your whole name all the time" she asked with a shy smile on her face "or can we call you something for short?"
Meanwhile, a turquoise colored yoshi turned to an orange one and asked in a hushed voice "Wait a minute, we aren't dragons, are we? I thought we were some kind of dinosaurs!"
The orange one turned and shrugged. "You don't like the thought of being a dragon?" He said with a smile.
The, rather unexpectedly a black yoshi none of them had even noticed turned to them from where he had been napping in the shade, and replied very mtter-of-factly "Oh, it dosen't matter. I think we're just yoshis and thats all."
Green Yoshi had been thinking about his question though. "Oh, well," He replied to the pink yoshi after pondering it a little "it dosen't matter to me... actualy, I would prefer if you just kept calling me 'Yoshi' for short, since that's what I'm used to, afterall." But then he turned to the rest of his friends and said much louder "But everyone should remember that I am SUPER DRAGON Yoshi! Winner of the Watermelon Game... that we just made up!" All of the yoshis laughed and played around some more, and had fun calling Yoshi by his newly chosen name, for a couple a minutes, but then something caught Yoshi's eye. Something small and red was bouncing from cloud to cloud just above the trees in who's shade he and all the other yoshis were playing. Little did he know then that he was about to meet his first friend that wasn't another yoshi in his whole life. He, likewise, could never have guessed what a great friend he would turn out to be.

Twin Brothers. (pg 2)

Over the vast Mushroom Kingdom, on a cloud somewhere, a baby feels a poke on his nose. It startles him, but he wants to stay asleep. He keeps his eyes closed, and squirms uncomfortably. Another poke on the nose. He gives in, and for the first time in his life opens his eyes. In front of him is another baby, with big blue eyes, and a funny red hat. The first baby giggles at the silly hat and reaches out for it, pulling it down over his brothers eyes. As he sits up he sees that his brother has another hat in his lap, and it is green. This delights him and he picks up the hat and plays with it, putting in his mouth first, and then on his own head. He and his brother play around there on the cloud for a bit but soon fall asleep.
When they awaken again they are both in a little sack and far far up in the air above the ground. The baby in the green hat notices how scary it is as he looks down, but his brother dosen't seem scared at all, the crazy little red-hat even tries to leave the bundle when he looks over the edge, but green-hat just won't let go of his foot.
As they look up they see that above them is a huge bird holding tight onto the tied end. The red-hat brother, who is soon to be called Mario, reaches up and tries to tickle the brids feet which are clenched tight onto their the bundle. The second brother, who later is called Luigi, dosen't like that idea, but soon something far worse than anything the silly little baby Mario could bring about occurs.

This desparate magikoopa had taken this monster koopa for his own particular reasons. It was some time before this all happened that Kamek had learned how to look into the future. When he looked he saw that eventualy the Koopa Kingdom, which is situated in what was once a very mountainous region with a handsome landscape and safe valleys, would completley recede into a desolate state as all of the mountains would proceed to one by one explode into fire, and blanket their earth with black rock, and rivers of red fire. This was a process that had already begun, and had begun to worry a great number of the koopas. He wondered if anything could be done about this, so he began to search for answers. It wasn't long before his eye fell upon the lush land of the Mushroom Kingdom. He knew that the Kingdom was well ruled and had loyal subjects, and that for some reason the infant princess Peach Toadstool seemed to be a key to it's safety, but through his predictions it was unclear why.
What he was able to see, though only in vague signs, was that the Koopas would need a king, and he could see that this king would be no ordinary koopa. That was why he had taken this young monster. He would personaly be raising him to fulfill this vacant spot in the Koopa Kingdom. The magikoopas, he knew, would gladly give up their role as leaders to serve an active and powerful king.
The only other thing he saw that caused him great distress, much more so than the mysterious power that the princess seemed to have, was the appearance of two twin brothers who would always stand in the way of the progress of the Koopa King against the Mushroom Kingdom.

This morning Kamek had again looked into time in order to see if there were any more clues to decipher, especialy since now he had found this little Bowser, as he was calling him, who would be his future king, and was seeking some sort of idea of what to do with him. (Raising this kid was not a walk in the park, afterall.)
Much to his surprise, instead of seeing into the future, he saw something that was happening right that moment. Two twins! One in a red hat, the other in green! That was something he clearly remembered from his predictions of the two troublemakers for the Koopa Kingdom. They were being delivered to their parents in the Mushroom Kingdom by the stork! Kamek would have something to with this by the time it was over. He quickly rushed to his broomstick, and some of his toadies hurried alongside.

As baby Mario tried in vain again and again to jump up and releive the stork of his grasp on their lives, little Luigi peered his head over the edge of the sack for the first time since he had done so earlier and seen the ground, and saw something even more scary. There was someone flying their way.

A Bad Koopa. (pg 1)

There is an old order among the koopas. They are called Magikoopas, and they were actualy a rather peacefull group, untill the monster was brought to them. All of the koopas were. The monster was born to two very average koopas not unlike any others. They knew not why he looked so hideous or why he behaved the way he did, but it became apparent to them after not very long that he was beyond their control. There was little they could do. They wished that they had been able to care for him and that they could have just had a normal child like anyone else, but they simply could not. They took him to the magikoopas and begged them to help with their son.
The magikoopas did their very best to try and calm the little devil, but nothing seemed to work. They sent for other magikoopas all across the kingdom and eventualy a one of them named Kamek stood before the creature, and quite unexpectedly it calmed down. It looked straight at Kamek with a malice in his eyes, and then charged at him with a scream. Kamek quickly disabled him though with a blast from his magic wand, and the beligerent youngster fell to his face. It then started to whimper and Kamek leaned over and spoke to it. He told him to stand up, that he was coming with him. He then turned to it's parents and told them that this was out of their hands they had done the right thing by bringing their child to the magikoopas, and that they should be grateful, and worry not about the outcome of the child. The young koopa then stood up and Kamek grabbed it by it's wrist. They then departed and the magikoopas dispersed, relieved by the out come of the situation. The parents of the problem child were secretly relieved as well to no longer be responsible for the care of it, and have never spoken of their son again to this day.
